"I was called twice again to play Pihu, after I quit Bade Acche Lagte Hai"

The talented actress Fenil Umrigar who was recently seen in Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms popular daily soap Bade Acche Lagte Hai on Sony TV, playing the role of Pihu, is currently shooting for print advertisements in her home town Surat. She might soon be seen on the television which will surely be a treat for her fans to watch her acting on-screen again.

About her current project Fenil shares, "I am currently shooting for print advertisements in Surat. I am also been offered a few shows, talks are still on for the same, and soon I might grab the right opportunity."

When we asked her on what roles and shows she is looking forward to play, Fenil says, "The show should be very interesting, with a unique concept. Even if it is a saas-bahu saga the role should be very exciting for me. Currently, I am just looking for playing positive roles on television. A big 'No' to negative roles at the moment."

We quizzed Fenil on what made her quit the show Bade Acche Lagte Hai and she says, "I really enjoyed playing the character of Pihu as much as I was a part of the show, but slowly then the character of Pihu was becoming negative. I kept on asking the production house about the character whether my character will go totally negative and they kept saying that they will let me know soon. As the days passed and the way the character was developing, it was clear enough that the character was going negative and I had to give up on that show."

Fenil was not happy with the way her character was shaping and says, "Even the creative team and the director found out that I was not being able to deliver the dialogues and I was not getting into the essence of the character either. But the production house did call me twice after I quit the show, to come back and resume shooting for the same, but eventually I could not. All I have learnt throughout my journey in life is that everything happens for a reason."

We also asked Fenil about her current favorite show on television and which character she would like to play in that show if she is offered that show, and she says, "F.I.R is currently my favorite show on television. The character of Kavita Kaushik is my favorite and if in future I get to play a character in that show, I would definitely want to play the character of Kavita Kaushik. It is a very challenging and interesting role, which has lots of shades to portray in it."

She would love to take up the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa too, if she is offered, "If I was offered the dance reality how Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, in no time I would say a 'Yes' to the show because I love that show and I love dancing too. Since childhood I was very fond of dancing and would win a lot of prizes in school and college dancing competition," says Fenil.
