The immensely talented and good looking Jaswir Kaur who is currently seen in SAB TV's 'Krishan Kanhaiya' talks about her love and passion for acting in a tete-a-tete with Tellybuzz.
Jaswir please tell us something about your love for acting...
Acting is all about realizing that you are born to act. There are so many aspirants who have an option of taking up a routine job and having a well settled life but they choose to struggle in this field only because they are madly in love with this profession. I grew up watching movies and imitating personalities on-screen. When I tried my luck, the industry welcomed me with open arms.
You have done shows like 'K. Street Pali Hill', 'Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann',' CID' (Sony TV), 'Hitler Didi' (Zee TV) and 'Adaalat'. Any memorable incident you would like to share from your struggling days?
Well, I have always done stunts on my own. I have memories from 'K Street Pali Hill' where I used to do my stunts, get injured and also get shouted upon by senior actor Sudha Chandran!
Infact, while shooting for CID, I remember a scene which required me to hang upside down for a long time. Despite of being ill, I pulled off that shot as I was all excited about performing for an amazing fight sequence after that.
It seems that you are having a very happy time shooting for action based sequences. We are sure there might me a naughty side to you...
(Laughs) Yes! I tend to prank people quite often. I was once shooting in Kashmir for a particular show and my co-stars and I planned a prank where we decided to scare everyone by calling a ghost. So, I got into the character and we pretended to call the ghost. I later acted like it possessed me and refused to leave my body! I still remember how scared the entire cast and crew got.
On a serious note, please tell us about the roles you enjoy portraying on-screen.
The character should make you feel the want to play it. I love my job and whatever I take up, I give in my best. If I cannot, I do not opt to play the character.
Well said Jaswir!
