#PROMOREVIEW: The second promo of 'Chakravyuh' REVEALS some more interesting things about the show!
And it still does not give away the entire plot.

Star Plus launched yet another of their ambitious projects titled Rishton Ka Chakravyuh. The plot of the show revolves around the strained relationship between a mother Satrupa (Narayani Shastri) and her teenage daughter Anami (Mahima Makwana).
The channel launched their second promo recently, which chipped away at the crux of the story a bit, but successfully kept the mystery intact.
What is the promo about:

A godman is seen lecturing a gathering about how it is written in scriptures that a mother's heart can never be selfish and how she never seeks the destruction of her own children. That is when a girl from the crowd gets up and contradicts his statement by looking at a woman seated to the side and says that she knows of one such woman who abandoned her daughter as soon as she was born.
The woman, in turn, looks at the godman who pacifies the young girl saying that something must have compelled her (the mother) to do what she did.
To this, the young lady says that it is a son, who fulfils the wishes and that a daughter is always a liability. And then the woman and the young lady, exchange looks.
What we liked:
Ever since the first promo of Rishton Ka Chakravyuh has come out, it has managed to pique the viewers' interest.
We will not talk about the visual appeal as we already have, in the first promo review.
We like how we get a glimpse into both Mahima and Narayani's characters' emotional sides and we must say, both the actresses up their game. While Anami's 'Tsunami mask' slips and her eyes exhibit her hurt, Satrupa too is hurt by the fact that her daughter misunderstands her. But both the strong headed women cover their emotions real quick.
What we did not like:
And yet again, there was nothing that we did not like.
Verdict:
We like how the makers have given away a little bit of the mystery surrounding the show so far, but we are still left wondering what went wrong between the mother and daughter? We also like the fact that the makers have showcased the emotional side of both Anami and Satrupa, be it in a blink and you miss it moments.
The show will soon go on-air and we cannot wait to see the mystery of this convoluted mother-daughter relation unfold. This is definitely one of Star Plus' much-awaited projects.
Ratings: ****1/2 (4.5 stars)

People having problem with a girl misbehaving with her mother would not had a problem if Anami was male. No one has problems when characters like Asad, Shlok, Randhir misbehave with their parents but instead sympathise with them just because they were males. Here Anami too would have some reason. She hates her mother because she abandoned her when she was born. What would you have done if you were in her place? Hate her like Anami or start living her as if nothing happened? People still have biased for male characters which is sad to see.

I am not even a fan of either actors but both the promos bowled me over. Be it the appearance, setting...and the acting. Both Narayani and Mahima have such screen presence and their characters seem to be so strong. And this review kind of said it all. expecially when it comes to the fleeting emotion that passed by both Anami and the mother's faces before wiftly being covered. I will definitely be giving it a watch.

As the writer himself has said it is a part of Mahabharata where the lead is in shoes of Karna. A female version of Karna indeed. Mahima has nailed it. Looking forward for the serial.
