#PromoReview: 'Kaleerein' on Zee TV Lacks Curiosity Factor, Offers Nothing New!
While we still wait for the makers to release more promos and give us some more insight into the show, this is exactly what the first promo depicted to us at least.

Zee TV recently launched their next outing after the Karan Jotwani-Suhasi Dhami starrer Aapke Aa Jaane Se. Titled Kaleerein, the show will see actor Arjit Taneja making his television comeback post his stint in Kumkum Bhagya alongside debutante, Aditi Sharma.
The channel released the first promo of Kaleerein and here's our analysis on the same.
The promo starts with a lady waiting for her daughter to arrive at her cousin's wedding, when the bride and groom walk hand in hand. The girl, Meera (Aditi Sharma) runs into the venue, but trips on her sky high heels and ends up reaching her mother with her shoes in hand.
The bride's mother then tells Meera and her mother that getting an NRI groom is a very tough job and how she taught and groomed her daughter right from how to sit, to how to do her own makeup as well.
Meera's mother then insists Meera to take the above mentioned 'training' and become perfect in order to get herself an NRI groom. The promo ends with Meera clearly stating that she will not change herself and will only marry a guy who will understand her.
What we liked:
Aditi Sharma does a nice job as a debutante and we are sure that she would ace her role in the coming time.
With the show's backdrop being Punjab, the makers have incorporated the same very effectively into the first promo itself. Right from the clothes to the actors and their dialogue delivery, they have nailed it.
The makers have also managed to take a dig at the societal norm of how a girl is expected to prep' for her marriage and groom herself to be perfect; enough for her husband-to-be.
What we did not like:
There is nothing new that the show has to offer to the audience. Kaleerein seems to be one of those shows where the girl dreams to marry an understanding guy instead of a rich NRI groom that her family wants her to marry. And honestly, we've seen similar concepts before.
Verdict:
This attempt at modernization' has been showcased in many shows until now, that makes Kaleerein an already seen before concept. However, the second promo is eagerly awaited.

Aditi Sharma and Arjit Taneja were a fresh new pair with a lot of promise and they fulfilled expectation as MeerVaan. :)
