Priyanka Chopra reveals SLB talking about 'Heeramandi' with her earlier; gives a shoutout to the show

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's acclaimed series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' has garnered immense praise worldwide, marking a significant shift in Indian shows globally. Streaming on Netflix, the show has garnered widespread appreciation, firmly establishing itself as a standout production. Bhansali's vision and dedication have been instrumental in bringing this ambitious project to life.

In the past few days many actors and actresses have been taking to their social media handles to give a shoutout to SLB's creation. Now joining the bandwagon is Pee Cee. Priyanka Chopra, who collaborated with him on previous projects, shared insights into his long-held desire to create the show, highlighting his commitment to the craft. Sharing the poster of Heeramandi on her story, Priyanka wrote, "I remember how much you wanted to make this."

For the unversed Priyanka Chopra worked with SLB in 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela' featuring in an item song and later as Kashi Bai in the film 'Bajirao Mastani'.

"Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar" is a historical drama series helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Set against the backdrop of Heera Mandi, Lahore, during India's fight for independence from British rule, the show delves into the lives of courtesans. It features a stellar cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, and Taha Shah Badussha, alongside veteran actor Farida Jalal with Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Shruti Sharma, and Adhyayan Suman. It streamed on Netflix from May 1st.
