Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu starrer SS Rajamouli’s project officially titled ‘Globetrotter’

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has confirmed that the first look of his next project with Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled Globetrotter, will arrive in November 2025. The director explained that the film’s scale cannot be summed up through still images or standard press interactions, which is why nothing has been unveiled so far.

Addressing both Mahesh Babu’s fans and wider cinema audiences, Rajamouli said they have been filming for a while but want the reveal to capture the full essence of the story. “Dear cinema lovers in India and around the world, as well as fans of Mahesh, it has been a while since we began shooting, and we appreciate your eagerness to know about the film. However, the story and scope of this film are so vast that I feel mere pictures or press conferences cannot do it justice,” he wrote.

The filmmaker added, “We are currently working on something to showcase the essence, depth, and immersive world we are creating. This will be unveiled in November 2025, and we are trying to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN reveal. Thank you all for your patience.”

Mahesh Babu shared the poster on social media, expressing his own anticipation: “Thank you for all the love… I am eagerly waiting, as you all are, for November 2025 to enjoy the reveal with all of you. #Globetrotter.”

Alongside Mahesh Babu, the cast includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Priyanka, who arrived in Hyderabad recently with her daughter Malti Marie, is already involved in the shoot.

Though details remain under wraps, a report from Tanzanian outlet The Citizen claimed the film follows a “rugged explorer” on a mission to protect the world. Drawing comparisons to Indiana Jones and African adventure classics, the story is said to involve treacherous landscapes, ancient legends, and a powerful adversary. The protagonist’s journey reportedly spans uncharted territories where both nature and human threat stand in the way of uncovering a world-altering secret.

Described by industry watchers as one of India’s most ambitious cinematic undertakings, Globetrotter is still in production, with Rajamouli signalling that the wait for its first reveal will be worth it.
