Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran encountered a distressing incident while filming for his much-anticipated movie, Vilayath Buddha. The talented actor sustained a leg injury during an intense fight sequence on the sets, which were located in Marayoor, Cochin. Following the mishap, Prithviraj was swiftly rushed to a nearby private hospital for immediate medical attention.
Today, he is scheduled to undergo a key holder surgery as advised by medical professionals. Consequently, the actor will be taking a temporary hiatus from work to allow for a smooth recovery.
The severity of the injury suggests that Prithviraj may require a break lasting approximately two to three months in order to fully recuperate.

Vilayath Buddha, directed by Jayan Nambiar, marks the adaptation of GR Indugopan's novel of the same name. Nambiar, previously an assistant to the late director Sachy in Ayyappanum Koshiyum, is poised to bring this captivating story to the silver screen.
Additionally, the multi-talented actor-director is actively involved in his upcoming Bollywood project, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, being filmed in Mumbai. In the film, Prithviraj portrays the lead antagonist Kabir, sharing the screen with stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who play the titular roles.
