Post an emotional scene, I literally kept on crying: Akshita Mudgal on ‘Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain’ going off-air

Earlier in the day, India Forums broke the news about Zee TV show ‘Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain’ going off-air. We informed the viewers exclusively that the entire shoot of the show will wind up in a couple of days. The reason for the same is said to be low TRPs.

India Forums got in touch with the lead actress of the show Akshita Mudgal who plays the character of IPS officer Pragi in the show and asked her about her thoughts on the show’s sudden closure. She replied, “Well, it’s very sudden and abrupt. It’s only in the afternoon that we’re informed about the show’s closure. We have two more days of shoot remaining. I was quite taken aback with the decision and wasn’t expecting the same. ‘Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain’ has a lot of potential. The story is very different wherein an IPS officer’s personal and professional life is depicted. While there were talks about the meeting between the channel and the production house to discuss the fate of the show, we were certain that the show won’t go anywhere for atleast a month”.

She further added, “It’s very disheartening that the show is ending so soon. Post learning the news, I had an emotional scene and I literally cried in the show even after the cut. There’s always a connect that an actor builds with the character and all the other actors and thus it’s very normal to break down in tears. It’s quite a shocking update for me and all my co-stars. However, we hope something better is in the store for all of us”.
