Playing three characters at the same time is a challenge: Deblina Chatterjee

Beautiful actress Deblina Chaterjee, who is currently seen in a triple role on Contiloe's newly launched mythological series Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan, is winning appreciations from all over for her characters on the show and she is enjoying playing the character of Lakshmi, Rukmini and Sita on the show.

In a candid conversation with TellyBuzz, Deblina shares more about her experience essaying the characters on the show, the challenges she is coming across and much more.

Talking about the experience playing the characters on the show, Deblina says, "It's been a good experience so far. It's a mythological show and I am playing three characters - Rukmini, Lakshmi and Sita. I have to shoot with heavy costumes and jewellery. Initially, it was difficult to shoot with it but gradually I am getting used to it. The style of acting is also different as well as the diction and I am working upon my diction. The team is very good to work with. I am very happy to be a part of the show based on lord Hanuman because I believe on lord Hanuman."

When we asked Deblina about how did the show happen to her, she continued, "I was busy doing movie and commercials post Balika Vadhu. I was at my hometown when I got a call for this role. I was unable to come to Mumbai for the audition so they asked me to record a video for my look test at home and send it to them. They liked my look test video and called me to Mumbai the next day. I came to Mumbai next day and then Gagan (Gagan Malik) and I gave a look test together and then I got finalized. I was little unsure initially because it was a mythological show but my parents were sure about it and they inspired me to give the audition for this. After I gave the audition and got selected for it, my parents were very happy."  

As its Deblina's first mythological show, she is also coming across some challenges as well as enjoying appreciations too. Talking about the same, she added, "Playing three characters at the same time has been the biggest challenge for me. All the characters are different from each other and challenging too. People have liked me more in the look of Sita. I have got good response from the fans and my close ones. I got the brief from the writers about my characters, then I searched it on Youtube to more about mythological shows and even I took help from my director to work upon it."
