Actress Gehana Vasisth, currently seen on the reality show House Arrest hosted by Ajaz Khan, has responded to the controversy surrounding the show after a clip went viral on social media. The video, which featured Ajaz asking contestants to enact sexual positions, led to backlash and demands for the show to be banned for spreading vulgarity.

Gehana, addressing the criticism, stated that she has been receiving multiple calls urging action against the show. Responding to this, she questioned why platforms that host adult content are not targeted in the same way. “People watch porn websites day and night, but no one raises questions about that,” she said.

She also drew comparisons with mainstream content, referencing well-known actors and their past on-screen choices. “When Priyanka Chopra does nude scenes in Hollywood, or Radhika Apte is topless in Sacred Games, or Mandakini did bold scenes years ago, no one says it’s spoiling society,” Gehana said. According to her, such content is accepted when it appears on platforms like Netflix or in Hollywood films, but similar content made by independent creators is often criticised. She called the reaction a 'hypocritical' one.

Gehana further clarified that her participation in House Arrest was completely voluntary. “I was not forced. I did the show of my own choice and was comfortable doing it,” she said. She also added that all contestants on the show are above 18 and willingly taking part in the activities shown. “Everyone is doing it by choice. No one is being forced. So why blame Ajaz Khan or Ullu? All the actions are done by us,” she stated.
