Ajaz Khan Faces Rape Charges based on an actress's complaint, Amidst 'House Arrest' Show Controversy

Mumbai's Charkop Police have filed a rape case against actor Ajaz Khan following a complaint from an actress. She alleges sexual assault under the guise of a marriage promise. The case is registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), with police officials confirming ongoing investigations.

The actress claims that Ajaz Khan offered her roles in his OTT project "House Arrest" and other ventures, during which he proposed marriage and made repeated assurances. She alleges that on March 25, Khan raped her at his home, using the promise of marriage as a pretext. She further accuses him of a second assault a few days later, reiterating the same commitment.

The actress also reported that Khan cited his religion's allowance of four marriages, vowing to take full responsibility for her. Authorities are actively investigating these claims.

Separately, Mumbai Police have booked Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others for alleged obscene content in the reality show "House Arrest," streamed on the Ullu App, following a complaint by a Bajrang Dal activist.

The complaint follows the viral spread of a clip featuring Ajaz Khan instructing "House Arrest" contestants, including women, to act out sex positions. The video's circulation ignited a public outcry, drawing criticism from political figures and netizens alike.

According to the official complaint, the Bajrang Dal activist cited numerous complaints regarding the show's explicit content, with individuals expressing their concerns through personal messages.

Actor Ajaz Khan, known for his television appearances, has also featured in films such as "Rakta Charitra," "Allah Ke Banday," "Dookudu," and "Naayak." He is set to debut in Gujarati cinema in 2025 with "Angaar," portraying an anti-hero. Khan is also directing a Hindi web series, "Bombay Bonds."
