Parul Chauhan replaces Shalini Chandran in Pratha..
Shalini Chandran is out of COLORS' Rishton Se Badi Pratha, and it is Parul who steps in as the lead..

The big news from COLORS' Rishton Se Badi Pratha is that the channel and production house have decided to replace Shalini Chandran with Bidaai face Parul Chauhan.. Yes, you heard it right!!
According to our source, "The reason for this replacement is the supposed leap that is to take place in the show sooner or later. Shalini apparently did not want to be part of the ageing process and has opted out. Parul Chauhan has already started shoot from today, and Shalini wrapped up with her shooting schedule for Pratha last night. The channel was looking for a big face to shoulder the show which is geared up for a leap soon; they found Parul apt for the role".
Yet another source however, told us that "Shalini was not even aware of her replacement till last night. The channel apparently was not happy with her performance; they felt that the chemistry of the leads was not coming across well. Leap is nowhere on the cards".
When contacted, Shalini Chandran told us, "Yes, I am not doing Pratha. Parul will be stepping in as Surbhi. I am looking forward to doing films, and opted out as I did not want to be part of the leap which is to happen soon".
We tried calling Parul, and sent her a message but did not get any revert.
Our efforts to reach thro' to Producer Pearl Grey were futile.
Guess the 7.30 PM slot has lot much to offer now, what with competition coming from Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus, Rishton Se Badi Pratha on COLORS and Chhoti Bahu on Zee TV..
For now, it is Star Plus which rules the roost!! But we are surely looking forward to the contest ahead!!
