Paras Kalnawat reveals why he hates celebrating Holi

Paras Kalnawat, known for his role as Samar in Star Plus' popular show "Anupamaa," recently shared why he no longer enjoys celebrating Holi.

In a heartfelt Instagram story, Paras opened up about his father's passing and how it changed his perspective on the festival. He mentioned that Holi was his favourite festival as a child and eagerly awaited it every year. However, in 2021, while he was filming a Holi scene covered in colors, he received a distressing call about his father collapsing. This incident shook him deeply; since then, he hasn't felt the same excitement for playing with colors. He expressed how, once full of vibrant hues, the festival now feels dull and lifeless without his father.

He wrote, "Holi was one of my favourite festivals. As a kid I used to wait for this specific festival every year. 2021 while I was covered in gulaal shooting for holi sequence I got a call and leaving everything behind I ran towards my house. Since then I kind of hate playing with colours. Woh rangon ka tyohar zindagi meri berang kar gaya!"

During the Holi shoot for "Anupamaa" in 2021, Paras received the news of his father's health emergency, prompting him to rush to be by his side. Paras exited Anupamaa midway and later participated in the dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10." Currently, he portrays the character of Rajveer Luthra in Zee TV's "Kundali Bhagya."
