The sudden demise of actress and model Shefali Jariwala has left the entertainment industry in deep shock. A popular face since her breakout moment in the early 2000s with the music video Kaanta Laga, Shefali reportedly passed away on June 27 due to cardiac arrest. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.
The atmosphere outside her residence, where her mortal remains were brought post-autopsy from Cooper Hospital, has been heavy with grief. Close friends, family members, and industry colleagues have been visiting to pay their last respects. Among them was actor and fellow Bigg Boss 13 contestant Paras Chhabra, who shared a warm bond with Shefali.
However, Paras, clearly distressed, had a run-in with the paparazzi stationed outside the house. When asked about how he was coping with the heartbreaking news, Paras visibly lost his cool — not just at the question, but also in response to a morning news article that had painted Parag Tyagi in an insensitive light.
The news had pointed out that Parag was seen taking the couple’s pet dog out for a walk after Shefali’s passing, subtly implying a lack of grief or emotion. Slamming the coverage, Paras said: Yeh subhe waali news bohut hi bekar news hai. Yeh jo kutto-wali news hai, ki kutte ko leke ghuma raha hain subha subha. Kya kare phir banda? Bohut hi bekar news karte ho aap log. Aur bolna kya hai?
When a media professional replied: Kaam kar rahe hain, Paras retorted,
“Haan negative news laa rahe hai aap log.”

Many also rallied in support of Parag Tyagi, pointing out that even in moments of unimaginable grief, life’s practicalities — like caring for a pet — still demand attention.
As the industry mourns Shefali’s untimely departure, voices like Paras’ serve as a reminder: humanity must not get lost in the race for headlines.
