In a tragic and heartbreaking incident that shook the nation, a brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, claimed the lives of innocent civilians who were out enjoying a peaceful day at the popular Baisaran meadows, often lovingly called ‘Mini Switzerland’. The attackers targeted tourists near food stalls and pony ride areas, turning the scenic spot into a site of horror and chaos. In the wake of this tragedy, Bollywood celebrities have come forward in large numbers to express their grief, condemn the cowardly act, and demand justice.

Actress Anushka Sharma shared her anguish via her Instagram story, writing: "Heartbroken to hear about the cold-blooded terror attack on innocent people in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Heartfelt prayers and condolences to their families. This is a heinous attack that will never be forgotten."

Cricketer and public figure Virat Kohli, known for his strong voice on social matters, posted on Instagram: "Deeply saddened by the heinous attack in Pahalgam on the innocents. Heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Praying for peace and strength to the families of all those who lost their lives and justice to be served for this cruel act."

Currently shooting for his upcoming film Param Sundari in Kerala, Sidharth Malhotra made his stand clear in a powerful note: "The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on innocent civilians is a cowardly act. I have full faith in our armed forces, and I'm sure they will do the needful and ensure justice. My prayers and thoughts are with the families of the innocent victims. Jai Hind!"

Varun Dhawan, expressing his frustration over the helplessness of civilians, took to Twitter to write: "The #PahalgamTerrorAttack is a cowardly evil attack and shows the mindset behind the people who plan these attacks. Writing on Twitter doesn’t do anything but this is the only outlet we have. I am sure the real heroes on ground — the INDIAN army — will answer."

Karan Johar echoed the nation's heartbreak by reposting journalist Faye D'Souza's update and added his own message: "This is heartbreaking ... Prayers to the families and loved ones of the innocent lives lost in this heinous attack...."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to punish the perpetrators, and a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team led by an Inspector General has been dispatched to Pahalgam for a thorough investigation.

Leading the voices of outrage and empathy was actor Vicky Kaushal, who took to Instagram to share his sorrow: "Can't imagine the pain of the family members who lost their loved ones in the absolutely inhumane act of terrorism in Pahalgam. My deepest condolences and prayers. Hope the culprits behind such disgusting acts of barbarism are faced with the severest punishment."

Actress Diana Penty expressed her sorrow and solidarity in a touching message, "What happened in Pahalgam is heartbreaking. So much loss… so much fear. To all those affected, we stand with you. Sending prayers, strength and healing."
Actor Emraan Hashmi added his voice of condemnation and unity, stating: "Strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Violence has no place in our society, and such acts of terror can’t shake our strength and unity. Prayers for the victims and their families. Justice must prevail."
Finally, Farhan Akhtar took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle with a message that resonated deeply: "Deeply shocked and horrified by the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Bollywood, beyond its glitz and glamour, has once again shown that it stands with the people, in grief, in strength, and in the call for justice.
As the investigation unfolds and the country comes to terms with the horror, one thing is clear: the voices from the world of cinema will not stay silent in the face of such terror.
