Anushka Sharma offered a rare peek into her personal life this Father’s Day, sharing a heartfelt post on social media that featured her father and a special note written by her daughter, Vamika, for cricketer-father Virat Kohli.
On Sunday, Anushka posted a candid photo of her father seated comfortably with headphones on, seemingly enjoying some music. Along with the image, she uploaded Vamika’s handwritten message for Virat, which read, “He looks like my brother. He is funny. He tickles me. I play make-up with him. I love him so much and he loves me this much (arms wide). Happy Father’s Day.” The note ended with Vamika signing her name.
Alongside the two pictures, Anushka wrote: “To the first man I ever loved—and the first man our daughter did… Happy Father’s Day to all the beautiful fathers everywhere.”

A user commented, “The way Vamika wrote her name,” while another added, “This is sooo cuteee.” One person wrote, “‘He looks like my brother’ omggg,” and several users shared how touched they were by the innocent handwriting and expression of love.
While the note stole the spotlight, Anushka’s post also served as a quiet celebration of her own father. In recent years, the actor has maintained a relatively low profile, choosing to focus on her family. She and Virat Kohli got married in 2017 in a private ceremony in Italy after a brief period of dating.
The couple welcomed their daughter Vamika on January 11, 2021, and their son Akaay on February 15, 2024. Despite being public figures, the two have been firm about keeping their children away from media glare.
Professionally, Anushka was last seen in Zero (2018) alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Her upcoming film Chakda ’Xpress, a sports biopic based on cricketer Jhulan Goswami’s life, is still awaiting release.
