On playing Tejasswi's boyfriend in 'Naagin 6' - Ashish Trivedi opens up

Naagin 6 flagged off last week and the reactions have been pouring in for leading lad Tejasswi Prakash. And apart from the likes of Prakash and male lead Simba Nagpal, another actor that has been receiving feedback is actor Ashish Trivedi.

Interestingly, Trivedi plays a negative role for the first time in the show as he is shown to be the on-screen boyfriend of Prakash's character. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Trivedi said, 

“I’m enjoying this new shade, which I am getting to play in Naagin 6. I’ve never played a character like this. Even in Udaan, I played a very positive, calm and composed character but this is different. I thank Ekta ma’am for giving me this opportunity with this character.”

About working with Tejasswi, he shared, “Shooting with Tejasswi is fun. She’s a fine actress and a supportive co-actor.”

Talking about playing the possessive boyfriend, he said, “In reality, a good boyfriend can’t be over possessive. This ruins any relationship. A bit of possessiveness is still ok, it brings you close. But there is a thin line between two, which one shouldn’t ever cross. Over concern or anything which is over the top will decay your relationship. Give your partner their space. Always doubting your partner won’t take a relationship anywhere. That’s what I think.”

Trivedi's character recently entered the show as he vows to ruin Pratha’s job in the Gujral mansion. He questions and doubts Pratha’s intention. In the recent episode, it was shown that he mixes glass pieces in haldi so that the blame falls on Pratha and she gets fired.
