National Doctor's Day: Dangal TV actors express their gratitude towards the medical community!

The spread of the virus has given us a lot of reasons to complain about but it has also taught us to be grateful for the things that we initially took for granted. From spending time with family to the amazing work the doctors are doing, everything is being appreciated. On this day that is dedicated to the doctors, Dangal TV actors share their childhood memories of visiting the doctor’s clinic and also express their gratitude to the medical community.

Alan Kapoor from Pyar Ki Luka Chuppi- Doctors are our saviors. I thank all the doctors who risked their own and their family’s life and served humanity during this pandemic. My brother in law is a doctor and is practicing in Germany. I was scared for my sister and brother in law as the cases back then was escalating very fast and Germany stood second in tally after Italy. Initially I thought of telling him and my sister to come back as world began to enter a state of lockdown. You know the love for family instinctively made me think in that direction, but then I realized that if a doctor is not there in this hour of need then who else would be. This was not a time to be selfish but a time to stand for your duties.

Talking about myself, I am blessed with a good immune and hardly need to visit a doctor. My memory of visiting a doctor is rich with smell of sprits and visuals of needles. Injections never scared me but I always cried because dad would buy me a coffee bar ice cream.(laughs). 

Tarun Khanna from Devi Aadi Parashakti- I remember whenever I used to fall sick, my parents used to take me to a doctor nearmy place. He was a very kind man and like a father figure to me. Whenever I had to get vaccinated for something I used to create a ruckus. The 3-4 people working there along with my parents had to pin me down so that the doctor could inject me. I used to shout so much that the people around the clinic used to gather to know what is happening. But as I grew old I got used to the process.

As far as the current situation is concerned, I am grateful for the medical community that includes all the front line workers who are doing their best to help the country become Covid free. I believe it is no less than going in a war zone. I am very thankful to them and may God bless the medical community.
