Naagin 7: Ekta Kapoor's superhit show postponed to 2025? Here's what we know

The Naagin franchise is one of the big ticket shows for Colors. It has built a decent fan base over the years. The last season of Naagin 6 that had Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal and Pratik Sehajpal in lead roles enjoyed a long enough run on TV. Many felt that Naagin 7 would come on air in 2024 from August or September. But it looks like the channel has not taken any decision on the same. Since a year, names of actresses like Ayesha Singh, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankita Lokhande are doing the rounds as leading ladies for the show. 

Daily shows of the channel like Mangal Lakshmi, Parineetii, Mera Balam Thanedaar are doing quite well. Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lehri’s Laughter Chefs has proved to be a huge success. It seems the channel has decided to continue with those shows as of now. Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 will go on air shortly as well. Naagin 6 was made against the theme of a deadly virus. After seasons 1, 2 and 3 it was the most successful one. Moreover, Bigg Boss 18 will also start from the month of October. 

In between, there were rumours that Ankit Gupta might play the leading man in Naagin 7. His team denied the same. He is now doing Maati Se Bandhi Door. Later, the name of Shehzada Dhami did the rounds as well. But there was no confirmation. It seems a meeting happened between the production house executives and channel people but there was no clarity on the month and time slot. 

The team at Balaji Telefilms has halted all preparations for Naagin 7. The first season got TRPs over 3 for the channel. Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani were the main leads. The actress became a household name with it. Mouni Roy returned with Karanvir Bohra in season number two. It was a mixed bag. Pearl V Puri and Surbhi Jyoti were magical in Naagin 3, a decently successful season. Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin and Rashami Desai were in season four, which was the most haphazard of the lot.
