My poetries are very much situational and abstract: Pankhuri Awasthi

Actors are usually skilled in singing and dancing but a rare talent like writing poems at a very young age is something that caught our attention. She has already shown her immense acting skills through her show Razia Sultan on &TV. TellyBuzz got in touch with Pankhuri Awasthi, graduate in Literature, with regard to her poetry and here is what she had to say.
"I was graduated in Literature which actually imbibed in me the love for reading. I do like reading all varied books but I am much inclined towards Indian and world literature. Reading for me can happen any time and everywhere - in between shoots, while I am travelling or whenever I get an off."
So what kind of books do you prefer reading? "I have read like end number of novels but few of my favourites are Shiva Trilogy by Amish, Look back in anger by John Osborne, Good Person in Hunger, And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, Shadow Line by Amitav Ghosh. All of these books have some meanings hidden in it."
Pankhuri has never really thought of writing a book but yes she does write for herself. "Though I feel that I am an amateur, I attempt to write poetries. They aren't rhythmic or rhyming but abstract and situational. Most often I tend to write when either I am sad or really low or when I am extreme happy. The flow of poems automatically comes out when I am travelling and am at a silent place amidst the beauty of the nature."
Pankhuri shares one of the sonnets with us:
"Nature: within and without
Far away in the east
The golden crop swayed
The sun shone indifferently
Upon the eucalyptus trees arrayed
She was, her Dreams and fantasies
Her eyes sparkled with Merriment
Easily pleased and righteous
Her innate fire, never content "
We are very much impressed with your talent, Pankhuri!
