Whether it is the
bride or the groom, post marriage, there is always a chance of putting
on extra weight, thanks to the extra love and care. And that is
exactly what happened with actress Pranitaa Pandit, who is currently
working as the negative lead in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki as Netra. She has been part of many popular shows like Uttaran, Kuchh Is Tara and Jamai Raja. But the pretty lady is back in shape after shedding 12 kilos.
When asked, Pranitaa said, "I have
lost a lot of weight as I have been working out for a year. It has been
a very slow and gradual process. Over a period of time, I have lost
12 kgs and now I am really loving the whole feel of being fit and
nice. There are three angles to weight loss. The first is to be
disciplined. Second is eating right and not eating less. Lastly, working out which is a very important part of my day. And
also it's always a nice feeling to see yourself fit in the mirror."
When asked if she feels a lot of pressure to stay slim considering she is an actor? She said, "I don't feel the pressure. Of course, you look nice and feel good. Television has all sort of actors - we have thin, plump and cute people. And yes, fitness is a part but it's not everything. That doesn't define your career in this industry at least. But it feels good to be fit. I don't take pressure as I am a foodie. I love food but I try to eat it in balance."
Pranitaa also
adds, "Post my marriage, I had put on a few kilos as I was very
content and enjoying my life. My husband, Shivii Pandit encouraged me
to pull down extra weight as he felt people should not think that because I am married, I have put on weight. So, Shivii kept
motivating me a lot. He is the strong foundation of my life who
basically balances my life. My fitness funda is basically balance.
Balance is the key to everything in life. It will automatically get
you to your goals and help you achieve it. There was a time when I
really used to eat a lot and go on a crash diet and then put that
weight back again once I started eating. But now I have realised that
balance is the key. Fitness is equal to balancing your food, workout,
sleep, and everything else."
Well, we wish the actress loads of success for her future and congratulate her on the weight-loss feat. Keep reading this space for more such interesting interviews...
