Mumbai Police's official Instagram account raises awareness about women's safety through several Bollywood scenes that have sparked controversy due to their misogynist dialogue. The post included films such as 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam,' 'Maalamaal,' 'Dil Dhadakne Do,' and others. The film 'Kabir Singh,' starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, made a list twice.
Shahid as Kabir is seen in one scene telling his girlfriend Preeti, aka Kiara Advani, to fix her dupatta in front of other men, while in the next, he angrily tells a man that she is his "bandi."
Concerning misogyny, the post was captioned, "Cinema is a reflection of our society. Here are (just) a few (of many) dialogues both our society & cinema need to reflect upon. Choose your words & actions with care - unless you want the law to intervene! ??? ???????? ???????? ???? ?? ??? ?? ????? ????. ??????? ??????, ???? ????????? ?????? ?????? ???? ?????? ????????? ????????? ???. ???????? ???? ??????????? ?????! #LetsNotNormaliseMisogyny #MindYourLanguage#WomenSafety”

Several actors argued about whether the film promoted potentially dangerous beliefs.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama at the time, actor Shahid Kapoor, who played Kabir Singh, stated, "There is only one problem with Kabir Singh – his anger management. Whether it is his love, his dog, the bai….whenever he loses his temper, he messes up. In the first scene itself in the film, the dad says, your brother is zero”.
Other scenes on the list include actor Salman Khan threatening actress Sonakshi Sinha in 'Dabangg,' actor Shah Rukh Khan informing actress Madhuri Dixit about her responsibilities as a wife in 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam,' and actors Naseeruddin Shah and Satish Shah discussing how a lady deserves to be eve-teased in 'Maalamaal.'
Meanwhile, several Bollywood celebrities, including filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari, have praised the post.
