Mrunal Thakur to play a cop in Thadam remake, talks about taking inspiration from Tabu's character in Drishyam
Actress Mrunal Thakur is all set to play a cop in her upcoming next Thadam's remake. The actress opened up about taking inspiration from Tabu's character in Drishyam.

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur is all geared up to play a cop in the official Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Thadam’ and for that, she has taken inspiration from none other than Tabu.
Mrunal told a news portal spilling some beans on the same,that she loved the way Tabu performed in ‘Drishyam’.
The first thing that came to her mind was how fierce and feisty the character in the uniform was. According to her, donning a character in uniform is a responsibility. She cannot wait to take it up.
The Dhamaka actress also went on to reveal that she hails from a family of police officials. Everyone, in her family except her father, was an ACP or DC.
She reportedly grew up with her uncles so it was nice to showcase their lifestyle.
Although Mrunal will be seen donning a uniform, she will not be pulling off action sequences. According to her, to pull off this character, she needs to focus on the performance and adapt the body language.
Thadam helmed by Magizh Thirumeni’s original movie is inspired by true events, and follows the murder of a young man.
It featured Arun Vijay in a double role, alongside Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat and Vidya Pradeep.
Apart from this, Mrunal is also awaiting the release of ‘Jersey’ with Shahid Kapoor. The film was supposed to hit the theatres on December 31 2021.
However, owing to the rise in the COVID-19 cases in the country and the shutting down of theatres, the film has been postponed indefinitely.
