Actor Mohit Malik has always expressed his wish to keep working and experimenting with his roles. After working round the clock from 2018 to 2020 on Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, Mohit was one of those lucky actors to have gotten the chance to work during the COVID lockdown as well. The actor who was last seen on television in Lockdown Ki Lovestory, luckily completed the show just in time to welcome his baby boy Ekbir and took a lengthy paternity break. And looks like 2022 will turn out to be the year Mohit wants it to be.

This year, Mohit signed his digital debut Cyber Vaar and has been shooting continuously for the same since the last few months. Once his shoot is completed, Mohit will be flying off to Cape Town to film Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. And if you were wondering that Mohit will return to India and take a break, you are wrong. Mohit has bagged his next web series. And you’ll find all the deets below.

Sources close to the project divulge that this project will stream on Sony LIV and is touted to be one of their biggest. Titled Chamak, the series will be helmed by director Rohit Jugraj, with the storyline being based in Punjab. And in all probability, it will be shot there too. Mohit will be joining an ensemble cast comprising of big names from the industry. It is also being said that Mohit’s role has been carefully crafted by the makers and he will be seen in an avatar that the audience has never seen the actor essay before. Details of the project are being kept tightly under the wraps and the cast and crew have been asked not to reveal anything.

We tried reaching out to Mohit but neither he nor his team could be reached for a comment.
