Metro In Dino: Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan's Film Stays on Track Amid Delay Rumors

Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino is one of the most awaited Bollywood films. Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, and an ensemble cast, the film has been in the news for its delays. Recently, rumors suggested that the movie might get pushed to 2026. However, the latest update confirms that Metro In Dino is very much on track for a 2025 release.

T-Series, the production house backing the film, has put all speculations to rest. A spokesperson from the team officially denied the delay reports and reassured fans. Their statement read, 'On the contrary to some media reports claiming that Metro In Dino is getting pushed, we confirm the movie releasing this year in 2025.'

This statement came after a Times of India report hinted that the film might not release before 2026. The portal claimed that director Anurag Basu was focusing on his new romantic project with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. But with the makers now confirming the timeline, Metro In Dino remains on track.

On February 15, 2025, Anurag Basu officially announced his untitled film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. The musical romance is set to release on Diwali 2025. The announcement video featured Kartik in a rugged rockstar avatar, playing the guitar and singing Tu Meri Zindagi Hai from Aashiqui. The film will clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror-comedy Thama.

Said to be a spiritual sequel to Life in a... Metro (2007), Metro In Dino will feature heartwarming love stories in a modern setting. Apart from Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, the cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sensharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Anupam Kher.

With the release now confirmed, fans can eagerly wait for Anurag Basu’s signature storytelling to unfold on the big screen in 2025.
