'Merry Christmas' heads for a shift in release date for the third time; hitting theatres a week earlier

In a series of unexpected twists, the release date of the highly anticipated film 'Merry Christmas,' starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, has undergone its third change. Initially slated for a December 23 release, the date was then shifted to December 15. Today, on October 3, a new announcement has taken the industry by surprise once again – 'Merry Christmas' is hitting theaters even earlier than anticipated, on December 8. Trade analysts took to social media to share this breaking news, sparking a wave of excitement among fans.

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, known for his masterpieces like 'Andhadhun' and 'Badlapur,' 'Merry Christmas' marks a significant first-time collaboration between Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. What makes this film even more intriguing is that it has been shot in two languages, Hindi and Tamil, with distinct supporting casts for each version. This multi-lingual approach adds an exciting layer to the film's narrative.

Meanwhile, the Tamil version boasts a different set of talented actors, including Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams. Furthermore, 'Merry Christmas' introduces a promising young talent, Pari, in a significant role. Notably, the film will also feature cameo appearances by Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte, adding to the excitement.

 Sriram Raghavan's exceptional storytelling abilities, combined with the charisma of Katrina Kaif and the versatility of Vijay Sethupathi, have created substantial anticipation among cinephiles.

The film is produced by a collaboration of two esteemed production houses, Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, bringing together the vision and expertise of Ramesh Taurani & Jaya Taurani, along with Sanjay Routray & Kewal Garg.
