Megha Gupta tipped to enter Swarg as Suhani..

COLORS and Directors Kut have been looking for an apt face to replace Archana Taide as the new Suhani in Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg. We heard that lot of known actresses from the industry had auditioned for the role.

Our little birdie told us that popular actors Kshitee Jog who was last seen in Zee TV's Aap Ki Antara and Divyanka Tripathi of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann fame had been short listed to play Suhani. Kshitee could not take it up as she is busy on her personal front. Divyanka on the other hand, wished to do a new show rather than an ongoing one.

The recent update however is that the channel has finally got their new Suhani and it will be Megha Gupta who will be cast opposite Shubh (Pracheen Chauhan).

As per our source, "Both the channel and production house are happy with Megha Gupta, and they have finalized her. However, the actress is yet to sign on the dotted lines".

As per the present story line, Suhani who fell off the cliff and also got burnt was ultimately saved by Shubh and was taken to the hospital. Shubh has been bearing all expenses for the lady's recovery, without knowing her real identity. 

Our birdie told us that if Megha does accept the role, she will be starting shoot in 4-5 days time. The buzz is that there will be yet another suspense track incorporated, which will run for few episodes.

When contacted, Megha Gupta told us that, "Yes, I have been approached to play the lead in Swarg. Talks are still on, but I have not given my decision yet, as I need some time to think".

Megha Gupta who came into the limelight with Kumkum-Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan played the lead role in NDTV Imagine's Main Teri Parchhain Hoon. She was also seen in Nach Baliye 4, and hosted Star Plus' Perfect Bride for a brief period. Her last fiction appearance was in Sony's Ladies Special.

We tried calling Rajan Shahi, and also sent him a text message, but he did not revert.
