Mary Kom, K Onler separated in 2023 as per their traditions; boxer's side denies affair with Hitesh Choudhary

Mary Kom, K Onler’s divorce has made news all around. The Olympic champion got trolled after news spread that she has been dating Hitesh Choudhary. He is the chairman of her foundation, and business associate. Choudhary is seen everywhere with the boxer. Now, the lady’s team has broken their silence on the matter. They said that the separation happened in 2023. We had read that their marriage ran into trouble from 2022. She is now living in Faridabad with the three kids, while he resides in New Delhi with his family. The news of the divorce shocked and saddened many as everyone knew how he contributed for her career.

People also told Mary Kom on social media not to divorce as it would set a bad example. They said it did not look good after so many years of a happy and successful marriage. It seems problems cropped up after K Onler lost a large sum of money in crores as he campaigned for the elections. People said she had coaxed him for the same. Now, Mary Kom’s side stated the divorce happened in 2023 in the presence of elders. They did not mention a formal divorce but one that happens as per their local traditions.

Yesterday, her father Tonpa Kom said the divorce happened through mutual consent. He gave out the news through Mangte Pare Manipur, the apex body of the clan. It seems families from both sides and authorities who adjudicate divorces in the Kom community were present. MPM said there was no animosity and both Mary and Onkholer Kom have moved on in their lives. The custody of the kids is with her.

In the past, someone told Hindustan Times that there were rumours of her dating the former husband of a female boxer. Many guessed it was Hitesh Choudhary. After this news, they deleted all pics of one another from their social media feeds.
