Manoj Bajpayee, renowned for his stellar performances, has debunked a long-standing misconception surrounding his acting rituals. Contrary to industry beliefs, the talented actor clarified that he does not indulge in a shot of vodka before every scene.
During a podcast interview for the YouTube channel Bharti TV, Bajpayee reminisced about an intriguing incident from the sets of his film "Joram." He recounted a conversation with a co-artist who shared the prevailing notion that he consumed vodka shots before filming.
Amidst the shoot, the co-artist expressed her delight in working with Bajpayee but brought up the misconception regarding his alleged pre-scene ritual. Manoj then shared that the girl asked him about the bottle he carries and drinks from it every few hours.
This is when he shared that it's a medicine, “I said ‘are you crazy? This is homeopathic medicine.' People think I go on the set after having a vodka shot, 'yeh toh sharabi hai kebabi hai,'”(he is a drunkard)" he said and concluded by saying that because he takes homeopathic medicine, which requires him to take a certain number of drops straight from the bottle, people thought that he's a drunkard.
Currently in the spotlight for his latest OTT venture, "Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout," Bajpayee portrays the role of ACP Avinash Verma. Directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, the film also stars Prachi Desai, Sahil Satish Vaid, and Vaquar Shaikh, streaming on ZEE5 since April 16, 2024.
Additionally, Bajpayee is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, "Bhaiyya Ji," directed by Apoorv Singh Karki. Reuniting with Karki after "Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai," the film is scheduled for release on May 24, promising yet another captivating performance from the versatile actor.
