Manisha Koirala shares exciting update on Heeramandi 2, calls it 'Project of a Lifetime'

After her stunning return to the screen in Season 1, Manisha recently spoke about the future of the show, describing it as the "project of a lifetime."

In a recent chat with a leading channel, Manisha Koirala discussed Heeramandi 2, revealing that she’s unsure of the timeline as Sanjay is currently focused on Love and War. She said, “I don't know when it will start. Sanjay is currently working on Love & War. I think we will have an idea only after that. But I am very excited about Heeramandi 2 announcement. It's a project of a lifetime.”

Reflecting on her career, she shared that she's become more discerning about the roles she chooses. After overcoming personal challenges, including cancer and entering her 50s, she’s focused on enjoying life.

In a candid conversation with a leading channel, Manisha shared her enthusiasm for Heeramandi 2, but also clarified that the timeline for the series’ next chapter remains uncertain. "I don’t know when it will start. Sanjay is currently focused on Love & War, and I think we’ll have a clearer idea of the timeline once that project is completed. But I’m truly excited about the announcement of Heeramandi 2. It’s a project that means a lot to me," she said.

Reflecting on her career journey, Manisha revealed that she has become more selective about the roles she takes on. Having triumphed over personal battles, including surviving cancer, and now in her 50s, she’s shifted her focus to living life on her own terms. "I’ve worked on so many meaningful projects with incredible directors, and now, I’m more conscious of the roles I choose. I’m not interested in repeating past characters or settling for supporting roles. I want to challenge myself and take on roles that truly excite me," she added.

Manisha emphasized that her passion for acting remains as strong as ever, but her priorities have shifted. While she is committed to delivering powerful performances, she’s now focused on finding projects that resonate with her. "I’m enjoying life, taking care of my health, spending time with family and pets, and traveling. But I’m also waiting for the right script to come along—something that excites me and pushes me as an actor," she shared.
