Mumbai, Aug 11 (IANS) Manish Malhotra, designer to Bollywood stars, has pulled out from the Van Heusen India Men's Week to be held in New Delhi Aug 27-29 as he is busy styling director Imtiaz Ali's forthcoming film 'Rockstar' in Prague.
But being the professional that he is, Manish first approached the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) to know if his pulling out would hamper the event. Luckily, FDCI approved of his request, much to the designer's delight.
Manish says he is excited to be associated with Imtiaz Ali again after designing costumes for his hit film 'Jab We Met' (2007).
'I am totally excited to work with Imtiaz again after 'Jab We Met... I want to make sure that the costumes of this film are better than the ones designed for 'Jab We Met'. I had no time to put together the collection for the Men's Week as I'm back only by the end of August,' Manish told IANS in a statement.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif play the lead roles in 'Rockstar'. The musical flick also brings Ranbir's grand-uncle Shammi Kapoor on screen after almost 10 years.
