Madhura Naik in Zee's Rani Lakshmi Bai...

Madhura Naik who is presently seen in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil will be seen in a different avtar in Zee TV's upcoming show, Rani Lakshmi Bai, produced by Contiloe Productions.

According to our source, "Madhura will essay the important character of Motibai one of the close associates of Rani Lakshmi Bai. She will be advisor to the Rani and will guide her throughout. She will be like the parallel lead in the show".

"Along with Madhura, known actor Saurabh Dubey will be seen playing an important role in the show. Saurabh was earlier seen in the role of Kul Purohit in Sahara One's Solhah Singaar. He was also seen in the football based movie, Goal where he played John Abraham's father", adds our source.

When contacted Janet Ellis, Casting Director of Contiloe, she confirmed the news saying, "Madhura Naik and Saurabh Dubey have been finalized for our show, Rani Lakshmi Bai".

Madhura was earlier seen for a brief period in Star One's Shakuntala where she played sister of Dushyant. She later opted out of the show to concentrate on Kis Desh.

Rani Lakshmi Bai will either launch in the last week of July or in the first week of August 2009..
