Having worked on different mediums over the years, director Iqbaal Rizzvi has certainly created a resume of illustrious work, now further building on that the man is all set to embark on a new journey about which he is certainly very excited. Best remembered for directing the Sanjeeda Shaikh-Keith Sequeira starrer, Love Ka Hai Intezaar on Star Plus when it comes to Hindi TV, Rizzvi is all set to introduce the viewers to a new presentation in the form of an experimental short film titled- 'My UNBLOOD BROTHER.'
Clocking 15 minutes, the film is an emotional story of two people living across different continents and how one random action entwines their lives forever, This is a provocative story of the human condition between two souls, What makes this actually interesting is the fact that the base concept of the film is suicide prevention., a subject close to the heart of director Rizzvi. He adds that in today's world where a suicide-related incident takes place every 24 minutes, it is imperative for us as filmmakers to highlight this issue. He sums up the film to be a sensitive yet impactful visual presentation of the inner conflicts of the human mind.
And while this should already be enough to have one excited about My Unblood Brother, what makes it all the more interesting is the way the film is shot. In times where big-budget films have multi-camera setups, this short film is actually entirely shot on a mobile phone without the additional use of any other equipment. That did not deter Rizzvi from being ambitious as he shot the film over 8 days on a road trip across the Republic of Ireland, and Back home in India, the film was further shot in Shimla. Keeping in mind the realism of the film, Rizzvi took on the challenge of casting a debutant in the role of the main protagonist.
Talking about the film and his willingness to showcase it to more people, Rizzvi said, "I am looking to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to create more awareness at a larger level."
And finally, coming to the biggest news about it all, the film is all set to premiere at the Indian Film Festival-of Ireland 2019 on the 16th of November, he says since the film was majorly shot in Ireland it is only appropriate to premiere it there first.
Thus begins the journey of the film traveling to different festivals across the globe.
