We gave TV a break and wondered if it would deliver glitch-free scenes and sequences that match the eventful plots of the shows on-air. After quite a while of waiting and viewing, we came to the conclusion that the string of trials and errors doesn't exactly end. This week we saw how minor details can lead to the most awkward situations and major plot deviations. Also, we have a new entrant on the list!
Here's what the kuch bhi moments looked this week-
That chant you tried as a school kid but really want to forget!
Just when you thought the series of Ishqbaaaz chants was over, we were served another one, this time by the Oberoi bahus. Anika (Surbhi Chandna), Bhavya (Mansi Srivastava) and Gauri (Shrenu Parikh) decide they need a closer look at what the brothers are up to. And while the unnecessary use of tech on TV isn't unheard of, using walky-talkies just to be in the loop of what the brothers are doing is a whole new level of "busy-body". We probably would have let it go had they not given each other code names like Dhano, Angaare and Basanti.
In addition, the trio even did a pose and chanted "Indian Naari Sabpe Bhaari". And, we aren't sure if stalking is on the list of achievements for the Indian Naari they speak of!
This very important detail about Maya on Beyhadh
Beyhadh has us all at the hinge of intrigue and we just cannot get enough. The master plot-weaver has spun yet another web and we're sure there's something big coming. But, before that- glitches!
Maya (Jennifer Winget) has her technicalities right. She suspends a sack of sand over her coffin, lays in it and nails a killer throw at the sack before covering the coffin on herself. What she forgot is the little fact that a sack that size cannot contain enough sand to fill the dug-up region. Also, won't the sand just pile up and not be spread so evenly with no help on the outside-
Just when we thought that was it, we saw a clever tombstone carved by our favourite TV villain. Take a closer look and you'll see the birthday year is 1995, that of someone who has only five years of experience in the 90s.
The above is a footage of us trying to calculate how Maya went through a whole career, a marriage and a pregnancy at 21 while we could barely make it through senior year.
The amount of danger a heroine is in is directly proportional to how stupid a plan the hero will come up with to save her
Chandra (Rajat Tokas) is devastated watching Nandini (Shweta Basu Prasad) trying to complete a ritual the priest has demanded while she's in pain. The brave girl had taken an arrow to the leg and walked through the woods and into the river water in spite of blood dripping from her leg with the arrow still intact. She steps into the river as Chandra watched helplessly. He instantly gets an idea- using a nearby creeper as a rope that he swings it towards her.
The creeper magically wraps itself around Nadini's waist and we wonder if it has a mind of its own.
Parth (Siddharth Shukla) and Teni (Jasmin Bhasin) are in the most cringe-inducing situation, where Parth has read a love confession letter that is addressed to him. Teni on finding out the letter has been read thinks Parth has accepted her feelings and the idea of "sharing" him with Shorvari (Rashami Desai). But, he goes on to make her believe that he thinks the letter is written for Aman (who is her to-be groom). However, things got awkward when Teni begins to understand what happened and this piece of paper comes back to is to blame-
Note: The room has no away to open up right into the stairway. With a door facing a wall and the stairway in a completely different direction, the letter has jumped quite a few hurdles to accomplish the task of somehow reaching Teni and leading Parth into bumping with her. The pep talk that followed wasn't any comfort either.
What do you think? Did you catch any of these moments on TV?
