Kriti Sanon recalls facing difficult behavior of her relatives towards her and her sister Nupur

Do Patti marks Kriti Sanon's debut film where she portrays identical twins. This upcoming Netflix project has been gaining attention as it revisits the classic theme of the good twin versus the evil twin, with sibling rivalry and jealousy being central elements of the story. In reality, however, Kriti and her younger sister, Nupur Sanon, have never experienced any negative feelings towards each other, despite Nupur acknowledging that comparisons are frequently made between them.

While chatting with Showsha, Kriti shared that while the industry hasn’t affected their relationship, the differing behavior of their relatives towards them has 'irritated' her. “Nothing has trickled to the extent where our feelings towards each other changed. I don’t think I’ve gone through that, not yet, at least. When I came to the industry, Nupur was very young and she wasn’t in Mumbai at that point and that’s when I saw certain relatives treating us differently and that angered me,” she recalls.

“When we would go to their place, they treated us different. They would wish me and Nupur differently on our birthdays. That’s something I found immature. She’s very strong and extremely matured despite being my younger sister. She handles things well and even if something hurts or bothers her, she never lets it come to her face,” Kriti further added.

Another milestone for Kriti with Do Patti is that it marks her debut as a producer. Reflecting on how this set differed from her previous experiences, she comments, “My mind was in different places but that’s not because I was producing the film. I’m an observer and over-thinker, in general. So, I’m constantly looking around. If I feel something, I just say it. I believe in stating my opinions and talking about what I’m feeling to the other person rather than just keeping it to myself.”
