Kirti Kulhari reveals reason behind separation with Saahil Sehgal: “The marriage stopped me from…”

Back in April this year, actress Kirti Kulhari had taken to her social media handle to post a long message as she announced her separation with husband Saahil Sehgal. After five years of marriage, the duo parted ways and had shared the news with their followers.

In her social media post, Kirti had announced that she and Saahil were getting separated, not on paper but in life. However, she had remained mum about the reason behind their separation.

In a recent interview, Kirti opens up about what paved the way to her separation with husband Saahil Sehgal. She shares that the marriage was taking away the peace in her life which made it imperative for her to take the tough call. Speaking to ETimes, the actress said:

“Being in the marriage had stopped me from being at peace. It wasn’t making me peaceful. It wasn’t adding to my peace. It was rather taking away from it.” 

Kirti also says that she tried her best to save her marriage but could not. She said that her close ones know what transpired in her marital relationship but she would rather not discuss it in public domain.

The actress also shares her parents reaction to her separation. She says that while her father was on her side, her mother wanted wanted her to continue with the shaadi for sometime. 

Meanwhile on the work front, Kirti Kulhari was recently seen in the film Shaadisthan on Disney + Hotstar.
