Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 contestants are gearing up for the stunt-based reality show as they headed for Cape Town yesterday. Photos of the contestants at the airport left fans excited for their favourites. Also a part of the reality show this season will be Abhinav Shukla, who also took part in Bigg Boss 14 this season. He got in touch with us where he spoke about his fears, dealing with trolls, advice ahead of Khatron Ke Khiladi and more.
Read excerpts from the interview.
Have you followed any of the seasons?
I am often blamed that when I do something, I don't watch it, but this time, I watched season 3 of Khatron this time, of course, there were my favourites in the season - Milind Soman, Dino Morea, Shami, so I saw a few episodes.
What would you say are your biggest fears?
My biggest fear in life is humiliation, I feel really scared to be humiliated. After that, the fears that I have are height, and fire, and reptiles, and water. Of course, we are all scared, because if someone says they are not scared, then he is lying and if someone does say that, it is a medical condition that they don't have any fears. I have done a couple of things where I know how to deal with certain kinds of things under pressure, and some, I haven't. The idea here is not to become fearless but to see how does one performs under pressure.
Post Bigg Boss 14, the scrutiny around you has only increased. What do you have to say about that?
I like the trolls, do it (laughs). They have all the right, if someone expressed their opinions well under respectable lines, they will get an answer with respect, but I don't expect everyone to have a similar thought process as mine and people have the right to express but I don't like people who get nasty or use language, I directly block such people. The rest, yes, their opinions matter and I read it, I reply to it if I need to clarify things because other people are reading that as well. For me, it was just a picture to get everyone's attention and have them read the SOPs, and technically, we are failing with that, because I have seen so many people who are not following the distance or other disciplines.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXDjzpcA_vMIs there a task you think will have you call for aborting it?
To say that I will never abort or to say that if this will come then I will say abort, then it will not be in the right spirit. Because, if I say the former, it will mean I am being too cocky and overconfident, but if I say that I will abort means that if a certain task comes I have pre-decided that I will not do it. I will simply be situationally aware and understand things, so I will use my common sense.
Any advice and tips from friends who have been a part of the show?
I spoke to Kushal Tandon, he says that it is not just that every time the toughest guy or the one with the most stamina wins, there is also luck involved, then there is common sense, and how soon you take a decision under stress, so that also matters, so that is what I am thinking about the show - common sense, be situationally aware and give my 100 percent.
Also a part of this season will be Divyanka Tripathi, Nikki Tamboli, Arjun Bijlani, Rahul Vaidya, and a few others.
