Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, which has been generating buzz even before its premiere, is just around the corner. Starting on July 27th, the show has already started dropping captivating promos that have fans eagerly awaiting to see their favorite Khiladis take on thrilling stunts.

Bigg Boss 17 contestant Abhishek Kumar is among the participants of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. In an exclusive interview with India Forums, Abhishek discusses overcoming his phobia, discovering a new one, and addressing injuries. He also provides his reaction to the escalating fight with Asim Riaz that has been making headlines.

Has Abhishek, who previously had a phobia, overcome it?

Yes, I have overcome claustrophobia, but I’ve developed a new phobia—water phobia. I can’t go into the water. When I try, I experience the same claustrophobia I used to have. I can’t open my eyes with my glasses on, and when I’m standing above the water, I have a fear of falling in.

I have overcome my claustrophobia; I can use elevators and stay alone at home now. Previously, I needed someone at home with me, but I can now stay alone by locking the door. I used to leave my washroom unlocked, but now many of these issues have been resolved.

Yes, I have overcome claustrophobia, but I’ve developed a new phobia—water phobia.

When it comes to Khatron Ke Khiladi, isn’t it inevitable that there will be injuries? How many have there been?

My shoulder is slightly bent, and it still feels sore (showing his hand). My third finger is also a bit bent; I had an issue with this hand before. If you look at my hand, you’ll see that this was already an issue, but now the finger has become more bent.

How did you do the stunts with this?

The main reason I didn’t want to do the show was that I don’t have the holding power in my hand; I can’t hang on or grip well. For instance, in my promo, you might have seen how I climb by gripping my arm over the obstacle—I’m not sure how I managed it.

During some stunts, my hand started functioning because I had to push through. Afterward, I was asked how I managed it, and I honestly didn’t know. I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it, but I still managed to get it done.

I would like to emphasize that Khatron Ke Khiladi is not a show for talking—it's a show for performing. It’s all about executing stunts, not engaging in arguments.

A promo is going viral featuring a fight where Asim calls everyone pigs. Abhishek, what’s your take on that?

I would like to emphasize that Khatron Ke Khiladi is not a show for talking—it's a show for performing. It’s all about executing stunts, not engaging in arguments. We’ve been on a show where you need to voice your opinions, present your points, and distinguish between right and wrong. However, if you approach Khatron the same way and keep repeating arguments, it won’t be effective. How many times can someone endure the same thing?

I believe Khatron Ke Khiladi is a show for performance. If you don’t perform and only talk, it’s of no use. That’s my perspective. As we say, performance speaks louder than words.
