Katrina Kaif's sisters break stereotypes at her wedding by walking down the aisle with her

For more than a week, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's wedding has been the talk of the town. Fans have been sending love and well wishes to the newlyweds ever since the couple shared a glimpse from their wedding. Katrina recently shared a slew of photos on her Instagram stories, dedicating them to her sisters who broke stereotypes at her wedding.

The photos showed her sisters walking down the aisle with her while holding the Phoolon Ki Chaddar, which is one of the most important moments in the wedding for the bride's brother. The rituals were performed by Katrina's six sisters, Isabelle Kaif, Christine Raphael Duran Spencer, Natacha Turcotte, Melissa Turcotte Roberts, Sonia Turcotte, and Stephanie Kaif.

Katrina dedicated a note to them, explaining how her sisters were everything to her and how they protected each other growing up. 

“Growing up, we sisters always protected each other. They are my pillars of strength and we keep each other grounded… May it always stay that way" she wrote alongside the photos of herself posing candidly for the camera. 

Katrina wore a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet to her wedding, paying homage to Vicky's Punjabi roots. Her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold to pay homage to the groom's Punjabi roots. Katrina also wore 22k gold jewelry from Sabyasachi's jewelry collection.
