Kartik Aaryan deserves National Award for Chandu Champion says co-star Aniruddh Dave

Kartik Aaryan and Aniruddh Dave play brothers in Chandu Champion

Aniruddh Dave is a part of Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion. He is playing his brother Jagannath Petkar. It seems he got a call from the team of Mukesh Chhabra. “They wanted someone who knew the Marathi lingo. Though I am from Jaipur, I do have a knack to master regional languages. After two days, they told me I was selected. It is the dream of every aspiring actor to see himself on the big screen. It was a joy to be with the team,” he gushes. 

Kartik Aaryan plays the title role of Chandu Champion in the biopic inspired by Murlikant Petkar. Dave tells us, “I was great working with him. I will say he is not just a star but also a superstar. He has done amazing work to not only build the body of Murlikant Petkar and also lived the character. He deserves the National Award. When you do that kind of hard work, it takes a mental toll on an actor.” 

He also said that Chandu Champion was not a sports biopic. Dave said that sports is just a part of the story. Dave says, “Chandu Champion does not have a genre. It is a human drama. You will see key moments from the life of Jagannath Petkar and Murlikant in the movie. We are shown as adolescents and later as mature 40 plus individuals. Kabir Khan has done a great job.”
