Karan Mehta opens up on working with Anurag Kashyap; praises Vicky Kaushal for helping newcomers

Karan Mehta is a budding actor who has recently debuted in the Indian entertainment industry with the film, "Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat". The film is a romantic comedy that follows the journey of a young couple as they navigate through the ups and downs of their relationship. As a newcomer to the industry, Karan Mehta has impressed viewers and critics alike with his performance in "Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat". 

Recently in an exclusive conversation with India Forums, the actor opened up about his debut experience with Anurag Kashyap, Working with Vicky Kaushal and more.

Karan opened up on receiving rave reviews for his performance. He said, "Of course; I mean, it feels great and amazing to receive so much love and such great reviews from these people and great people. I didn't expect it at all, obviously. But I feel that reading all these things give me more confidence in a way that it makes me want to work harder and that people are seeing my hard work and they are reviewing it. It's not like it could be like, there's such nice things about me. It feels great, and I feel blessed to have that in my life for my first work ever. It's good to support, and I feel confident. I feel great about it."

The young star also talked about being directed by Anurag Kashyap for his first film. "To be honest,  I don't think you could ask for anything better than this. I don't know if it's perfect. Perfect is a big word. But I would say it's like a dream star." 

When asked about his dream list of directors, he said, "My list is very big. I have Raju sir, Vishal Bhardwaj sir, again with Anurag sir, Rohit sir, Siddharth Anand sir, Sanjay Leela Bhansali ji, and the list goes on."

Karan also showered praises on his co-stars Alaya F and Vicky Kaushal. He also thanked the URI actor for lending a helping hand towards newcomers. Karan said, "I did a lot of stuff with Alaya, how she shared it with me and helped me through challenging moments. She was always there for me. In a way, it was Vicky Ma'am. But of course, as an actor, the head she gave me and the support she gave me were amazing. It just made everything easier. So she was a big part of that. And I really, really thank her."

Talking about Vicky, he said, "And of course, Vicky, the way he has come here. I actually talked with him for two days. And just the way that the person is fantastic. We learn a lot. And even though I was doing it, it was just so different because he brought out my energy. Correct. So it is something different. Only a good actor can do that in a way. So yeah, I mean, we spoke, we chatted a lot. And it's a very, I wouldn't say, similar story, but we both have done the similar things. And I think being him is amazing. He's a great human being. And I would love to thank him for being part of this film and helping us newcomers."

Karan Mehta's debut in "Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat" has indeed marked his entry into the world of entertainment positively. With his talent and potential, he is likely to create a niche for himself in the industry and carve a successful career in acting.
