A new face is all set to enter the world of Bollywood, and this one comes with quite an unexpected background. Aaishvary Thackeray, the grandson of iconic political leader Balasaheb Thackeray, is ready to make his acting debut with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming movie Nishaanchi. Slated to release on September 19, the film marks a significant shift for Aaishvary, who has grown up in the world of politics but is now stepping into the spotlight of Indian cinema.

Born to Smita Thackeray, Aaishvary carries a legacy deeply rooted in Maharashtra’s political scene. However, instead of walking the political path, he has chosen the artistic one.

Despite hailing from such a prominent family, Aaishvary has managed to stay away from the public eye for the most part. His Instagram profile, which features only five posts and a modest following, reflects his quiet, low-key presence. Yet, glimpses into his personal side, like a childhood photo with his grandfather have shown that his story has deep emotional layers.

Aaishvary has been preparing for this move for years. He began his journey behind the camera, working as an assistant director on Bajirao Mastani in 2015. Since then, he has trained diligently in acting and fitness, working on his skills and physique away from the limelight.

While his name has occasionally popped up in gossip columns, especially after rumours of dating actress Alaya F (which she denied) Aaishvary prefers to stay grounded. He’s often seen spending time with friends like Ahaan Panday but keeps his personal life mostly under wraps.

Nishaanchi, backed by Amazon MGM Studios, is a dramatic story about two brothers who take very different life journeys. The film also stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra.
