Karan Johar's 'Dhadak 2' to hit theaters in November 2024 with Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri

Karan Johar has officially announced his latest film, ‘Dhadak 2’. This new project will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles and will be directed by Shazia Iqbal.

Shared the announcement video on social media, Kjo wrote in Hindi, "Once upon a time, there was a king and there was a queen. They were from different castes, and that's the end of the story."

The announcement also stated, "Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri. Directed by Shazia Iqbal. #Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024."

The film is set to explore the barriers of class and status entrenched in society, highlighting a love story that faces insurmountable challenges.

For those unfamiliar, the original 'Dhadak', which starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, was released in 2016. It was the Hindi remake of the Marathi film 'Sairat'. 'Dhadak' marked Janhvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut and was a commercial hit, grossing over ?110.11 crore worldwide. The film was directed by Shashank Khaitan, known for 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'.

'Dhadak 2', produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures, will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film is scheduled for release on November 22, 2024.
