In a recent interview, Bollywood actor Kajol expressed her stance on the public’s expectations of celebrities. Known for her candid nature, she addressed the criticism she's received for her seemingly rude interactions with the paparazzi. Kajol emphasized that she doesn’t believe in constantly maintaining a polished image just to fit into society's expectations.
Kajol spoke about her recent behavior, acknowledging that like any other individual, she has her highs and lows. She mentioned that social media often creates a false sense of perfection, making it seem like people, especially celebrities, don’t experience regular emotions. "I do get angry. I have bad days and good days—that’s me,” Kajol said, standing firm on her beliefs.
Clarifying her viewpoint, Kajol stated, “I think that I cannot and will not sit down and edit myself time and again for somebody else’s idea of ‘she is a celebrity and she should not lose her temper’.” She highlighted how she won’t change herself to match others' ideals of how a celebrity should act.
In recent days, several clips have shown Kajol displaying irritation in public. In one video, she tells the paparazzi to back off and avoid silly questions, while another clip from her Durga Puja celebration shows her requesting photographers to move aside, saying, “Please move aside, please side ho jaiye, peeche ho jaiye. Anjouli dene ke liye logo ko aane dijiye.” She even scolded them for coming too close to the idol with their shoes on.
On the professional front, Kajol has an exciting lineup of films. She will portray a police officer in the Netflix film Do Patti, alongside Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. Additionally, her upcoming projects span multiple genres, including horror, action, and drama, with titles like Maa and Maharagni – Queen of Queens, marking her reunion with Prabhu Deva.
