Kajol reveals one of the scariest films that she ever agreed to do

Kajol celebrated the 25th anniversary of her film "Dushman" by reminiscing about her experience on the thriller. In a Twitter post, the actress fondly recalled the film as one of the scariest projects she had agreed to be a part of. She expressed gratitude towards the film's team for making her comfortable with the challenging and uncomfortable topic that the movie explored. Kajol portrayed the dual roles of twins Sonia and Naina Sehgal in the film. 

Alongside Kajol, "Dushman" also featured Sanjay Dutt and Ashutosh Rana.

Taking to social media, Kajol marked the milestone by posting and sharing her thoughts on the film. She acknowledged the terrifying performance of Ashutosh Rana, who portrayed the antagonist in the movie, and how it frightened her as well as the audience. The actor took to social media to post about the film as it completed 25 years of release. She posted, "#25years to Dushman. One of the scariest films I have ever said yes to or even watched for that matter. #AshutoshRana scared the crap out of me on screen and I'm sure out of all of you guys as well. And a big thanks till today to #PoojaBhatt and #TanujaChandra for making me so comfortable with such an uncomfortable topic. Fans flooded Kajol's post with praises and called "Dushman" one of their favourite films. They commended her performance in the movie and acknowledged the impactful portrayal by Ashutosh Rana. One fan specifically mentioned the balance struck by the music in the film, creating a memorable experience. Another fan hailed it as Kajol's best performance throughout her career.

"Dushman" was produced by Pooja Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, marking Tanuja Chandra's directorial debut. It was a remake of the Hollywood film "Eye for an Eye." Kajol brilliantly portrayed the contrasting personalities of sisters Sonia and Naina. After the outgoing sister Sonia is tragically murdered by the serial offender Gokul (Ashutosh Rana), the introverted Naina takes it upon herself to seek revenge. She enlists the help of a blind military veteran, portrayed by Sanjay Dutt, in her mission of vengeance.
