Jhanak: Fans aghast with Aniruddh sexual assault track; reminds them of THESE shows

Jhanak is one of the most loved shows of Star Plus. Hiba Nawab plays the role of Jhanak Raina while Krushal Ahuja is Aniruddh Bose. On the show, we will see how Arshi (Chandni Sharma) becomes pregnant with the child of Aniruddh. He is in depression assuming that Jhanak is dead. She decides to take advantage of this and impregnates herself. It seems in a weak moment, Arshi does the deed. People are very upset with this plot for various reasons. There were a lot of trials in the lives of Jhanak and Aniruddh and many had hoped for a happy ending. 

Fans on Reddit are discussing how male sexual assault seems to be a small thing in Indian TV. This has happened in the past on shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Uttaran and Qubool Hai. People said that in such cases the women have got away with hardly any consequences whatsoever. It seems Aniruddh has to accept Arshi’s child as his own. With sexual assault becoming such a sensitive issue, people are aghast how ITV has no issues in showing such sequences just to increase the drama and TRPs. People said in Uttaran Veer was also forced into sexual intercourse against his wish. 

The same thing happened in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya too. Jigar (Vishal Singh) was forced into sex just after the death of his wife, Rashi. Netizens said that no one gave a hoot to what Jigar went through after that incident. Everything was focused on Gopi Bahu and what not. 

This is also similar to the track of Qubool Hai where Tanveer had done the same to Asad. Netizens said evil women do not exactly indulge in stuff like this, just to get a man. They also said that Arshi is stupid to get pregnant on her mother’s advice just to be close to a family.
