Exciting updates have been pouring in about the pre-release business of Allu Arjun's upcoming film, "Pushpa 2." Recently, it was revealed that the Hindi theatrical rights have been secured by Anil Thadani for a whopping Rs 200 crore, while Netflix has acquired the digital rights for Rs 275 crore.
Adding to the buzz, one of Bollywood's prominent producers, Jayantilal Gada, has clinched the all-version satellite rights of this action-packed entertainer directed by Sukumar for a significant sum.
If reports are to be believed, Jayantilal Gada has secured the satellite rights for languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Known as a key player in the satellite market, Gada has struck a comprehensive deal with Mythri for "Pushpa 2."
He will subsequently resell the rights to satellite players based on the bids received.
Despite the current downturn in the satellite market, there is substantial demand from broadcasters eager to showcase the film on their platforms. The popularity of Allu Arjun's films on television has contributed to the high demand, with record-level prices being offered.
Speculation are rife about the acquisition price for the satellite rights of "Pushpa 2," estimated to be around Rs 80 crore. However, official confirmation on this figure has yet to be obtained.
Amidst these negotiations, anticipation for "Pushpa 2" continues to soar. The first song from the film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2024, marking the commencement of the countdown to its Independence Day release.
