"It's amazing how 'Laila Majnu' is still relevant after five years" - Avinash Tiwary on his debut film

Next week is going to be pivotal and dreamy for actor Avinash Tiwary. Because the man has not one but two mega shows releasing consecutively on 14th and 15th September - Bambai Meri Jaan and Kaala, respectively.

But it can safely be said that his performance in his Bollywood debut, Laila Majnu, opposite Tripti Dimri, is and will remain truly unforgettable. The timeless love saga marked its five-year anniversary a few days ago. Directed by Sajid Ali, the brother of the one-and-only Imtiaz Ali, this modern-day adaptation of the classic love story remains a testament to both Tiwary and Dimri's performances that captured the essence of the love story in the purest way.

While talking about the film marking its fifth anniversary, Avinash says, "I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been chosen as Imtiaz Ali's leading man in his story in my debut film, Laila Majnu. The journey has been a remarkable one, and I am deeply appreciative of all the love my film has garnered over the years. Portraying a character crafted by Imtiaz Ali is a privilege shared by some of the industry's biggest stars, like Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan. It's an honor I cherish. It’s beautiful how Laila Majnu is so relevant after five years. From playing Majnu to now 'Bambai Ka Naya Baadshah, it's been an incredible journey. I am thankful to all my fans."

From the very moment the film graced the silver screen, Avinash Tiwary's portrayal of Majnu left an indelible mark on viewers' hearts.
