It is a little weird to be addressed as a father onscreen: Akshay Kharodia of ‘Pandya Store’

Star Plus show ‘Pandya Store’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The show has taken a seven years’ leap. Before leap a major tragedy struck the family. Shweta came in a disguise to take Chiku away from the family. However, in the sudden turn of events, she gets hold of Chutki instead and flees away.

Rishita and Dev get shattered and leave Pandya niwas as they blame Dhara for their loss. Raavi too leaves the house as vows to never return as she blames Dhara for Shiva’s health. Furthermore, an agitated Dhara slaps Krish and asks him to leave the house. The joint family gets scattered.

Now, after a leap of around seven years, the family members are set to return to the house as Suman isn’t well. Three kids belonging to Dhara- Gautam, Dev- Rishita and Shiva- Raavi will also mark an entry in the show. Child artist Ranav will be seen playing the character of Shesh, Dev and Rishita’s son. 

In a conversation with India Forums, Akshay Kharodia talked about the leap in the show and on playing a father, he said, “Well, honestly, initially when Shesh addressed me as a father on-screen, it felt a little awkward because I’m not quite used to it. My real life daughter is also very young and haven’t started speaking yet. Having said that, now I’m used to the same.”

Talking about the track, Rishita aka Simran Budharup said, “Rishita is a changed person post leap and is not very attached to Shesh. She deliberately keeps distance from him emotionally as she fears losing her another child after losing Chutki”.
