Actor Ishita Dutta has already had quite an alluring career so far where after making a huge mark with her Hindi film debut in Drishyam, she switched gears to the small screen and played the lead in Colors' show, Bepanah Pyaarr. Interestingly, the actor has been on the small screen for a longer time as well as she made her debut with Ek Ghar Banaunga before her debut Bollywood film. While she consciously kept away from work during the pandemic, she is all set to go back now.

Talking about it with ETimes TV, Dutta said, “Just like a lot of people the pandemic hit my family hard too. Vatsal and I both tested positive for coronavirus and it was a very difficult time mentally and physically. All these situations held me back from returning to work because I was scared and paranoid about everything that was happening around me. But now after the vaccines both Vatsal and I have resumed work."

Talking about her upcoming show, Thoda Sa Badal Thoda Sa Pani, which focuses on a Bengali family, Dutta is extremely glad to finally play a Bengali girl on-screen. She said, “Being a Bengali and getting to speak a bit of Bangla on screen and enact the Bengali traditions is like a dream come true for me. I am so excited to be doing all that. This is my first show where I am playing the role of a Bengali girl and I think more than me my parents are excited. There are times when I even help my fellow actors to get their pronunciation right."
